Design Assistant

This role will be a remote working position

THE PERFECT CANDIDATE HAS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

• Perfectionist with the highest attention to detail

• Lives in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and is able to visit the studio independently, if needed (The studio is a 5 minute walk from Glencairn subway station)

• Available to work on week days and potentially weekends

• Has their own computer and an extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign - Excel skills are a bonus!

• Is a quick study and eager to learn new skills or share their own tips/tricks :)

• Takes feedback well

• Enjoys repetitive tasks and problem solving

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create various design mockups based on client consultation feedback

• Create variable artwork from excel lists using mail merge

• Create Day of Stationery artwork based on pre-designed artwork other sources

• Create print-ready files for print/production (outline text, bleeds, embed objects, etc)

• Manage production timelines from print to client delivery

• Bonus: Available to help with in studio production/assembly tasks (see below)

Production Assistant

This role will work out of our in-home studio in Toronto, Ontario (Bathurst and Eglinton)

• Lives in the Toronto and can make their way to the studio independently (5 minute walk from Glencairn subway station)

• Available to work on week days and potentially weekends

• Takes feedback well

• Enjoys repetitive tasks and problem solving

• Loves dogs and puts up with babies ;)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review printed materials against digital mockups for accuracy and confirm everything is accounted for

• Invitation assembly. Eg: Envelope liners, Belly-bands, Scoring, Envelope stuffing, Tying string/ribbon, Applying wax seals and postage stamps, Envelope Sealing, Mailing to post office

• Organize Day of Stationery items (alphabetically or by seating assignment)

• Package orders for pickup

• Photograph stationery
